You don't need the special cage nuts and allen bolts. You should be able to reach around into the rear bumper and hold a regular nut and use a slightly longer bolt.

He means the valance. A diffuser is more like what is on the back of the Ferrari F430. Someone here put an aftermarket rx-7 diffuser on the back of their car. Looked pretty cool.

Oh oh oh, that thing that goes under the rear. Actually I've been meaning to put one on my NA car ... tired of seeing the workings underneath.

So they can be attached with a simple nut-and-bolt type situation?

The thing that sort of covers the rear muffler so you can't see it as bad from the back.

Can't imagine what other claims are made for it. Though it does tidy up the rear end somewhat.

Cool photo!

If only it were possible to push a button and make that happen. Think of how easy it would be to work on!

(and how come my exhaust manifold's on the other side?)

There is some drilling into your fenders that's needed. Measure twice, drill once. When I did mine, I mounted it about 1/2" lower than the factory to clear my trailer hitch. It does clean up the looks of the rear, and I'd wager that it does a little for aerodynamics and cooling for the transmission.

Here's the pic of the diffuser that I was referring to.

You would be surprised how much the factory hardware is at the dealer.......

Do not go there!

That's the 944 turbo. In fact the picture shows all the things that the turbo had but the regular 944 didn't.

Well, except for the torque tube, the transmission, the wheels ...

Aha, gotcha. Good to know!

And you have a trailer hitch on your 944?!?!?! I didn't know that was possible. Doesn't the manual specifically say not to do that?

They made a factory trailer hitch with towing package. I wouldn't tow anything very heavy, but for a set of tires, motorcycle or go-kart it works well.

Gotcha.

Hey, I just noticed your valance is a one-piece, while the one in the disassembly-type image is a two-piece. What's the deal?
