Give Kenn Borek Air a call in Calgary (1-403-291-3300) and talk to Sean Loutitt (Chief Pilot). Borek operates Twin Otters on floats all over the world including the Harbour Air Tw'Otters running between Vancouver and the Island. My sister and her husband both quit recently to go to Air Canada and Westjet respectively so there could still be openings there. What do you have to lose?
Oh yeah, besides giving helpful tips to out-of-work pilots, I'm an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer working out of Victoria, BC.

For the last few years I worked as a software developer, didn't like the company I worked for, but couldn't find anything else in this sunny economy.
So, I decided to sponge off of my wife and go to grad school. I'm currently studying Software Engineering at Harvard.

well after reading these all night at work im finally home...only 15 hours today. i'm a lab rat (tech who really needs to finish his degree) in an optical communications lab. mostly R&D oc-192 but dabbled w/ oc-768 for a bit til capital spending dried up. very interesting job but the hours are insane...there was a point when things were booming that people (me included) would sleep at work (not napping during tests...i mean work til your exhausted..go into a conference room and sleep on cots hehehe...no lie). i wont mention the name of the company cause most of you probably own some (extremely deflated) stock in it....im continually dollar cost averaging from one espp to the next hehehehe

I am a student right now/ owner of a small internet business with a friend dealing in e-commerce. I originally wanted to have a 911, but in the experience of owning a 944, I really am impressed with the car. I have owned an 83 944 and a 91 300zx and now own an 85.5 944 and I really love the style. This is a car that I will be owning for quite a while.

Engineer for the largest offshore drilling contractor; I go offshore and work two weeks on and two weeks off - that way I can work on the car, waterski, work in the yard, and then "Honey Do". Waterski - got my three yr old up on a trainer this year!!!

In the past when we did a thread like this I remember seeing more pilots and military.
I'm an ex C-5 aircraft commander and currently teach phase III of USAF pilot training at Columbus AFB in MS. Getting ready to get back to flying FRED in June. Go big or go home...
Tom, how's your son doing? When's the last time he was home for more than minimum post mission crew rest?
Matt, if you have any questions on the pilot training world let me know.

Full time Rennlist poster... on no, wait a minute - that's what I want to be....
Actually, I work for a VERY small computer service firm where I wear many hats - main one being CFO. When I'm not handling the financials for the firm I can be found building systems or working on customers computers.
I have a degree in a totally unrelated field from the University of Houston (Go Cougars - they really suck, but ya gotta have school spirit).
When I'm not playing with the 951 I can generally be found on Rennlist (where I'm working on my Guru degree - only 6 more posts) or HorseCity.com - my two favorite pastimes. Love to play with horses under the hood or in the stables!
