I think his point was that another option is to go cheap and install vinyl covers yourself. Rob's work is amazing but that is on the expensive side of the coin. He will be getting my dash though. Anyone know anymore about what happened to the rennbay kits or anything about the ebay kits? Sorry for the hijack. Your local shops sound expensive but it might be the part of the country you are in. Whatever you do let us know how it turns out and show lots of pics.

Cheers, Josh

We do not make seat upholstery kits any longer. People do not want to take the time to install them correctly and they end up blaming the kit. It is a 4+ hour job, not a 1 hour job to make it look nice. That is the reason why shops charge so much. Not because of the material it is because of the installation.
So, the inexpensive kits are no longer available. Sorry.

Too bad people are such a hassle. Thanks for the service you offer and for getting back to this so quick Travis. Have a good one.

I'm curious, for those of you seeking sport seats. How much would you pay to SWAP seats with someone who has sports (in VGC) that they were willing to trade for your regulars, assuming yours are VGC too, same color? How much are those big bolsters worth?

No, not mine. I don't have them either!

typed quickly at office to point out another alternative, and that if getting a kit, get it from a rennlist sponsor. no negative was inferred at Budd or his work.

I understand your intent, just curious why you made it sound as if Robert Budd wasn't a sponsor.

+1 on Rob Budd at 928 Leather. Despite the shipping hassle, if it were me I'd feel much better about sending them to someone that specializes in Porsche seats and knows how to fit the covers properly. And Rob uses only real Porsche leather so the match will be perfect.

No affiliation, just a very satisfied customer

Here is the secton of diagram for the seats. I have the whole diagram, but they are huge and even at this size the wire colors etc are hard to read. I'd print it and see what you find out. GL and PM me if you need help.
