Adjustable Sway Bar Install Question
Just had a lot of suspension work done which included new sway bars. The rear has an adjustable 19mm. The question I have is that the shop set the bar at 1 hole in the middle and the other on the softer setting (3 holes each side). This was done after the allignment and cornor ballance and I was told it is done so as to not pre load the bar (did not use drop links). The question I have is it all right to have different holes used on each side of the bar? TIA.

My first inclination would be that it's insane to do that. At least I have never heard of it being done.
If you are worried about pre load buy an adjustable set of drop links and take care of it. They are like $80 from Paragon.
I may be corrected by a someone that has done it or knows it to be different but I would be concerned the handling characteristics at the limit 8/10's and above are going to be significantly altered left turn versus right. Example: Understeer on hard right handers, Oversteer on lefts...
Again, never heard of it done to take away pre-load on the bar but I've heard of stranger things working.

i always adjust mine same on each side- your car being a convertable probly inclines it to understeer so i would set the bar in the middle on both sides and see what it feels like- if it still pushed then tighten it up to the shortest setting on each side. Mine is set full loose at the longest setting because of the nature of my car.

Find yourself another alignment shop! Using different holes wil essential change the geometry of the car from one side to the other and will affect the handling of the car. As f1rocks suggested - get a set of ajustable drop links - they are inexpensive and easy to install.

the bar needs to be adjusted the same on both sides. if the bar is preloaded then you need the adjustable drop links.
as has been noted above, the ballance of the car will not be the same on left and right turns!
OK if you plan on running circle track
