Angry Yellowish Goo, need help

I was replacing the hose that runs between the oil filler assembly and the air plenum (in coming in just before the throttle body). Inside this hose and the throttle body as well as the filler assembly I found a yellowish goo about the consistancy of shampoo! I did not see any in the inyake manifold at the injectors. It must be coming from the oil filler assembly.

Does anyone have an idea what it is, is it serious and what to do about it?

Thanks

This is a mixture of water and oil vapor that has condensed on the hose since it is the coolest part of the system. It is typical of cars that are driven on short trips and not allowed to reach full operating temps. Unless you are losing coolant, the source of the water is probably from the air that is pulled into the engine as it cools off. You may want to watch for more formation of the goo and monitor for coolant loss.
