944Fest 2008 @ Mid Ohio Aug. 15, 16 & 17 - Registration Now Open -
The 944Fest 2008 Registration is now open. www.944fest.com
Date: August 15th, 16th & 17th
Location: Mid Ohio Sports Car Complex, Lexington, OH
Open To: Porsche 924, 944 & 968 owners as well as all other Porsche enthusiasts
This year's fest will prove to be the best 944Fest to date. We are hosting the 2008 event at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Complex, a world class facility that itself hosts races such as the Grand-Am Rolex Series and American Le Mans Racing. In a perfect paring we have coupled with the 944Cup series race which will be held at the same venue on the same weekend as the fest. There will be so many Porsche 944s there you will not know what to do!
Friday: The weekend starts off on with the annual 944Fest Dyno Shootout starting Friday, Aug 15th at Noon. After the Dyno Shootout, at 6pm, all participants are welcome to sit down with one of our top sponsors , Steinel's Autowerks, for an in-depth presentation on track preparedness and techniques specific to the Mid Ohio track. Following this presentation all track drivers need to be on hand for the pre-drivers meeting and tech inspection.
Saturday: All track drivers need to be present for the 7AM driver's meeting where track safety, run group times and instructor pairings will all be discussed. During the day on Saturday we will hold the 944Fest DE sessions and will be able to watch 944Cup racing taking place (between our sessions). Saturday night, all fest participants are welcome to attend the all inclusive NASA awards dinner on site. This includes all Food, Drinks, and Participation in the NASA door prize drawings. This is a huge event that is usually reserved for only NASA racers and that we have so kindly been invited to attend.
Sunday: It's time to get up and get all the track grime off of your 944. It's Car Show Time!! Starting at 10am we have the annual 944Fest Car Show. Come out and compete for one of 8 event trophies in the car show competition. After the show we will have our annual awards and door prize drawing. Following the awards / door prizes it is time to say goodbye to all of our 944Fest friends and start the journey home.
Please visit www.944fest.com for all the info and don't forget to swing by our sponsor's web sites. Our title sponsor again this year is Lindsey Racing. Without their help we could never be able to put the 944Fest on. Give them a call and say "thanks!!"

Out in Ohio Amish country they have buggy parking spaces and horse troughs right up front at the Super Wal-Marts.
Thats like eating at Medieval Times and not having forks but getting your Pepsi re-filled.
