Post lower power steering hose removal????

How do I get the lower power steering hose off!

I am having major trouble with the allen wrench bolt that holds it on near the drivers side A-Arm. It seems to be between a 6 and a 6.5 mm.

I don't want to mess around with it too much and strip it out.

Any help is appreciated!

I want to remove it.

Then put a new one back on.

I have a hole in my banjo bolt where it attaches to the power steering pump. So I need to just replace the banjo bolt or the whole hose. But I can't get the allen bolt loose.

I have a whole new lower hose with the bolts on both ends. I have everything else too.

Like I said I just need to know how to remove the host or just the bolt.

Do you know how to do this? If so please inform me.

Try removing the rack and then positioning it so you can get an allen socket with a long extension on it, long enough to be a able to get to it with a hammer. As you are putting pressure on the fitting to remove it, tap the end of the socket extension with a hammer. The jolt will sometimes loosen it up. It will take two people to do this!

I had to grind mine off after I stripped it out. By the way get the best quality allen socket you can find.

thanks... I have good quality allen wrenches and it seems like none of them fit right.

I think I will take it to a mechanic tomorrow and have him remove it for me

Thanks!

Anyone else have a way to get this off?
