Post Tps question

Car has been running poorly for awhile then I had the fire and I got it all back together last night. When I give it gas it stumbles and pops back and idles poorly most of the time. Today I started it and unplugged the tps and it smoothed out considerably and doesn't pop back as much. What do you all think?

It does sound like the TPS could be causeing problems. There's a procedure in the Haynes manual to test the TPS. Try that first. The TPS is pretty cheap and easy to replace. If it looks pretty old or you never replaced it yourself, chances are you could benefit from a new one.
