Post Ignition maintenence

I was about to buy a rotor for my 44, but then i realized that there are two offered. One i found without shaft and one with shaft. What's the difference, because the only difference i saw was $70 to $35? So before i buy something i'd like to know.

You do not need the shaft unless yours is missing or damaged. Do this though - try to remove the one you have now, temporarily, just to be sure it will not be a problem. The rotor is held on with an Allen set screw.

Good Luck!

There's a metal shaft the rotor bolts onto which is then bolted on the camshaft. Most of the time there is no reason to replace the shaft, especially since the rotor itself is expensive enough by itself.
