This morning, this was a nice cherry 944S.
Some STUPID **** rear-ended me on the Broadway Bridge this afternoon <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />

The guy at fault was actually 2 cars back - the car behind me was totaled. No injuries, thankfully. It drove OK after, but I really don't like the looks of that buckled rear fender.

Man.. I am sorry to see that. Sucks indeed.

It is not creased, so it can probably be massaged out. That area can be accessed pretty easy.

What did it do to the bumper shocks? Did they bust the mounts or just compress? Does it drive fine? Have someone follow you and see if it dog tracks.

With some luck, you will get some new parts, new paint, and be on your way with no loss here.

Let us know any other damage.

DO NOT TAKE THE CAR TO A SHOP WHO WANTS TO REPLACE THAT QUARTER PANEL! Your car will never be the same. You cannot completely remove that fender and install a new one without cutting it up...the welds actually overlap...the quarter panel runs underneath the roof of the car, the side runningboard, and the rear panel of the car. MAKE SURE you bring it somewhere where they plan to repair the panel (which is actually cheaper, to cut one of those fenders off it takes something like 17hrs i think?).
Good luck with the repairs, looks like they got your exhaust too...make them pay!

phantom-I think you are new to the Kansas City area-

D&L Autobody does all of Aristocrat Motors' work, they are a good place to get an estimate.

I have had luck with Nunzio (and Vito) Pirello at Pirello's collision repair on 108th and Pflum. They are both active members of the PCA, and race 944's at club events-they also hand form panels for Ferrari's-

My car was painted by Eveland Bros at 70th and I-35, and they did a good job.

Sorry about the car, bring it out Thursday the guy's at Imagine can probably give it a thorough check.

Just an update: Finally got it back this week....Eveland Bros in KC did the work and the fender looks amazing - the color matches perfectly and the paint/bodywork is better than factory. The car drives exactly as it should and performs a bit better thanks to the new muffler! Thanks to HY m8nc and the guys at the KC Maintenance party in Nov for the help and advice.

Man what a clean 944!!! outstanding! I had my father in law back in to my left rear quarter panel. The body shop that fixed it was so good I thought they swapped my car for a showroom one
