I am looking at a range rover as a third vehicle. Anyone have any opinions on these. It is a 95 SE with 84K. Thanks

 

MY MOM JUST BOUGHT A 98 DISCO....RUNS GREAT, LOOKS GREAT, SOUNDS GREAT, AWESOME CAR...GAS MILAGE SUCKS THOUGH.

 

The best 4x4xfar, except for a land rover! Oh, and they break rather a lot.

 

they look good, drive nice, and are very capable off road. Ok that's all the nice things I have to say...I work at at BMW/Mercedes dealer in the summers(college student) and I've been around a lot of used rovers. They SUCK!! Almost every one we've had has gone back to the rover dealership to get a headgasket or something else major under warranty. We're talking 20k on the clock and it needs a headgasket, not just a one time deal, it's happened at least 3 times. We had a disco need a new motor, we had a disco need a tranny, or maybe it was just the computer...the batteries are always dying, the alarms kinda suck. Personally I'd run away from any rover without a warranty (except a defender...oh I want one!) Oh and the air suspension is always breaking. We only have these cars a few months at the dealer and they have loads of problems, If you are willing to put up with all the maintainance, they are neat I think. Whew! I'm done.
