time to introduce myself and project
Well I have been browsing the forums for awhile and never really posted anything because i was still learning about the car and how the site was. ANYWAYS, a few years ago i bought an 83 944 but never had the money to get it on the road until now so i figured I'd post how the build was going....
What i initially thought were bad carrier bearings in the differential turned out to be deeper so i got a used 84 trans and filled it with Redline MT-90, so far so good.
As far as parts that went on in the past few weeks:
225/50/15 BFG g-force sports
cryo-treated rotors w/ EBC red pads and goodridge s/s lines
Bilstien HD shocks
water pump, radiator, and new belts (talk about being nervous at start up)
ball joints, front and rear bearings
magnecor wires with full tune-up
and for a maximum gain of .01 hp a K&N filter and throttle cam
The idea is a fun, reliable daily driver that gets decent MPGs in todays world of cheap fuel. I'll try and get some pics up of the build....
