Doesn't seem spectacular to me... Something with 177k should bring less than the asking price by a bit.

I prefer the blue 944 with the bra in the first photo -- it's got a 968 motor in it.

(BTW, this is an ad for a Rennlister's car).

Thanks Daniel... I guess the jig is UP. I was waiting for nice weather, so I could take NEW pics and post a proper FS ad on rennlist.

If the car sells, we should talk about my 951 project that I never got going -- it's being transported from LA to SF at the end of the month. Legoland knows this car well.

Only 914 guy's are cheaper than 944 guys. We all want it for next to nothing and you pay the shipping.

Well yeah, that has been the plan. I was going to make a modest 8v 3.0L turbo, using the stock short block, 2.7 head, and parts off a donor 951 motor (oil & water supply to turbo, intake & exhaust, rods, etc). With less than a bar of boost. Though recently I've been thinking of just dropping in a 951 engine and using my 3.0L crank to stroke it. Or not stroke it and just be happy.

Doing this work will involve a complete engine rebuild (except maybe I can leave the mains the girdle alone). Also I'll be messing with (and thus replacing) all coolant hoses, fuel hoses, air hoses, MM, clutch, etc. So why do this to a car that is solid and runs well already. Why not pick up a junky car with a blown engine and do it to that? That car would need the work anyway, and it would be a resurrection. And the bottom line is if I can sell mine for X and buy a junker for X - $2000 then that's $2000 in the pocket, for big brakes, sway bars, and tires, all of which are almost required for such a build.

And if the car doesn't sell, I'll probably sell the mercedes and buy a cheap 951 just to tinker with.
