Arrow HID conversion

I was wondering if anyone has done this conversion to there car? I don't want to spend the $600 or more to get the real thing but maybe just the look and better light. Has anyone does this?? If so, how did it cost, what did it take, where did you get the parts, do you have a picture? Thanks

I believe Turby had HID lights in his car. Then there was some debate over if they are good or not...

Hey Mike,

Checkout Iceshark's kit. It uses a beefed up wiring harness with relays coming straight off the alternator and Cibie euro spec lenses. I installed the harness first and drove around for a few months with the original sealed lenses and even with that noticed a HUGE difference. Now with the Cibies (that need to be aimed) it is even more impressive. Very white and very focused beams. And much less money than a HID conversion!

Not like you will be able to see a difference during the daytime, but I'll be out at Nelson's Ledges for Wonderful Wednesday. I'll either be working corners or the stand, find me if your going to be out there.

There was a post recently asking who made the wiring harness upgrade or lighting upgrade or something. http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=021197

If you go to Guru Racing's web site you can get info on the kit. www.gururacing.net

The kit is made by a guy named Dan Wray who goes by Iceshark on this list. He has decided that he may not make anymore kits because it takes too much time. I can believe it as the quality is incredible. He still has kits left so act now.

I don't recall the total price. The install took most of an afternoon since the preferred method to route the harness across the front of the car requires removing the bumper cover (that plus the fact that it was about 40 degrees in my garage when I did the install). Well worth it though, especially if you ever drive down Riverview RD or any roads like it at night.

Michael,

You are mostly correct, however, I am about to concede to my woman regarding these projects. She wants more of my time. What can you do? LOL!

I always knew they took too much time to make them to my standards. As I always said, this was really ment to help fellow Rennlisters, not a business.
