I think it was also George Carlin who said that anyone driving slower than him was a moron and anyone driving faster than him was an *******!

Boy that's a nice rear end! Actually, the car's doesn't look too bad either.

Somebody needs to make a happy face icon with drool coming out the corner of its mouth.

Saw this in the morning paper "The attempt to combine wisdom and power has only rarely been successful and then only for a short while" Anyone want to guess from whom this quote was taken? and how long ago? Disqualifier: you Boston guys give everyone else a chance first!!

I couldn't find the originals anywhere. Usually when pranks like this get posted, they are already manipulated. But I cleaned them up best I could:

This looks like it came from magazine or book (noticed the fold). Maybe someone have an original issue they can scan?

Also here's the book one:

Let's make this forum like a bar. No talking about women (or men for the ladies), religion, or politics...or else you buy a round for the house.

Even without photo shop the one with the binoculars is probably not a sign of stupidity. Based upon the casing it looks like those are night vision binoculars. Though not of a design I'm familiar with. Then again they don't look like a design of binoculars I'm familiar with either, and I fixed them for almost 8 years.

So if they are night vision. Then the dustcaps usually have a hole in them letting in a small amount of light during the day so you don't burn up the image intensifier tubes.

...

Can niether confirm or deny.

AS to putting binoculars up to your eyes with the dustcaps on, I've done it about a gagillion times and watched others due it twice that often.

Not to mention picking up a book upside down.

The book one is a fake.

<a href="http://www.snopes.com/photos/bushbook.htm" target="_blank">http://www.snopes.com/photos/bushbook.htm</a>

I heard a rumor that the original photo w/ the binoculars (believe they are night vision units) was Clinton. It doesn't really matter either way though - simple mistake. Another possibility is that the unit could be binoculars with an integrated rangefinder. In this case, the lenses wouldn't need to be exposed anyway - and it would also explain why they're difficult to identify.

BTW, if you have the time, snopes.com is a great read, right up there with <a href="http://www.thesmokinggun.com/" target="_blank">http://www.thesmokinggun.com/</a>
