Just a quick comment on the turbo valance on an NA... I put a turbo rear valance on my '84 at the suggestion of a friend of mine who used to race 944's in the Firehawk series, and it makes a pretty noticable difference in the way the car feels when cruising at speeds over 65mph. Before, the car was a bit "floaty" in the back end, now it feels a lot tighter.
Definitely as much "function" as there is "form" in that mod...

Recently I began exploring ways to upgrade the 944 interior.
968 Club Sport steering wheel? Check.
New shift boot? Check.
New Lloyd's Ultimats (front & rear deck)? Check.
Rennline aluminum pedals? Check.
Seat centers recovered? Check.
Dashboard cracks fixed? Check. (Well, sorta.)
How about CARBON FIBER interior trim? Hmmmmmm. I have read a few posts on the topic here.
Some people say it is "rice" because the stick-on kits obviously save no weight, and they deviate the appearance from stock factory trim. Their purpose is purely cosmetic.
Others say it is "nice" because it updates an otherwise dated interior, and Porsche itself includes carbon fiber trim as an option in current production cars (no one is calling the 2002 GT2 a 'rice burner').
So what's your opinion on 944 carbon fiber interior kits - RICE or NICE? (Any photos would be helpful, too.)
