found some 968 door panels..how much??
I found a set of used 968 door panels to put in my 951 off a wrecked 968 cab.
1st are the cabs door panels identical to my 951's in that they will bolt up w/ no real probs?
And whats a decent price for the set?
They want 400, and I havent even heard of the condition, nor seen a good picture yet, is theyre any trick to dealing with part dismantler type places? will they stick to that 1st offer of 400? or should I offer em 250 for the pair?
TIA
400 seems way to steep to me, any thoughts?

I paid $300 for a mint set. The window seal on the cab will need to be changed, since they have a split side window. You can use the ones on your current door panels. Other than that, they are almost a direct bolt in. You may need to drill a few holes in your door to attach the lower door pockets.

Here ya go ian...they have some extra speakers and diagonal stitching to match our leather seats. I think they look alot better, not as plain. More of a 90s 911 look.

The 968 door panels have a lump at the top along the window provinding more to rest your arm on. They also have a stich pattern along the side, and the arm rest/door handle has a section of "leather" that makes it more comfortable.

Not sure about the pre- 85.5 question and I don't know the dif's b/t the cabs and coupes, but... I bought my 968 panels for $400 which included pckets, panels, speakers, armrests, hardware, etc, and one of the main reasons I bought them was b/c I had wanted the deeper pockets up front- I have a Turbo S, so I have the 10-speaker system w/the front's under the armrest and didn't understand why they didn't go ahead and fill out the front of the pocket since there was no longer a 4x6 up there to get covered up. The pockets ALONE would have cost me ~$600/pr from the dealer, so I thought $400 for what I got was pretty fair. The ONLY holes I had to drill were the uppermost top screw holes for the top part of those pockets where they extended up above the stock pocket height- therefore I had to drill only one per side, or two for the whole car. Anyway, I really like the look of the whole panel better now and am glad I did it- it really updated the interior IMO...

Luke,
For what it's worth those are stock 968 seats. Porsche started putting that pattern of seat leather in all of their cars around 93 or 94. About the same time they converted over to the "Aero look" rear view mirrors. You can tell the seats apart at a glance because the Boxster and 996 cars have different style adjustment switches.
