Tow hook locations?

Tow hook locations?
Given that the entire lateral rear bumper is solid [aluminum?] and bolts up to the frame, I assume that a rear tow hook could be put just about anywhere on the rear bumper (drill and bolt-through). Is that correct? What about the front? Is there an existing threaded location?

I have tow hooks mounted to my bumper front and rear. They are just drilled into the stock bumpers.
They are pointed down not forward. I used to have my front one forward, but I would bang my shins in it when moving around the car. Pointed down it is just as easy to get to, but no shin damage.

Joe,
Do you have that bumper reinforced somehow?
My reason for asking: Could I drill some holes in my NA bumper and add the KLA tow hook, or would it tear out the bumper shocks if I ever tried to use it? I wouldn't use it much, just to pull it onto a flatbed tow truck if need be. Thanks,
Eric

The bumpers are like 1/4'' solid aluminum and held to the bumper shocks by pretty large bolts. The 951 uses the same method with the tow eye attached to the bumper bar (which is attached to the bumper shocks). I would not worry about damaging anything..as long as your not trying to pull a tree stump out of the ground or anything.

Nope.
Once at Willow Springs I had an off and tore up the left front suspension. The tow truck LIFTED the front the car on the hook and pulled me back in. Once back in the pits I replaced the control arm, banged the tie rod straight and won the race later that day.
The front bumper is stout.

I bought some from Dave Dercola... $35 bucks I think for two, shipped. They are just flat machined aluminum. I drilled four holes in the underside of the front and rear bumper and mounted them there with no issues.
