look under brakes. They are the only ones to have a 996tt brake upgrade

If you know someone in Europe you can just buy the 1-piece 996 GT3 rotors and calipers (which are the same as the 996 TT). These rotors are 330 x 34 mm and weigh a lot. Unless you really, really need this much braking you'd be better off with something smaller. [quote]as well as the BR rear upgrade.

For (gulp) $1895. They look nice but I doubt they are needed on a front engine car.
[quote]SFR has the lowest price for the complete kit on the BR front.

You'll get the lowest price buying the parts yourself from a Porsche dealer that gives a good discount. The BRs are routinely available for $259-279 each. The 928 GTS BBs are $250 each. 911 C2 3.6 Turbo rotors are about $105 each and adapters are $120-175 per pair. You can do the whole thing for under $1000.

I was just about to chime in b/c of what Tom said about ordering from Germany to get 996TT brakes and I think Danno may be talking about the same ones- CERAMICS- those would be COOL! Talk about reducing unsprung weight. As for calipers, I don't know about Willwoods, but AP has some 6 and 8 piston calipers that are great for stret b/c they have the dust sheilds, and I believe Alcon does as well- this is what I would like to do if I ever came into the big bucks! Maybe some hollow spokes w/14" ceramics and 6 or 8 piston Alcons or AP's. I also like the GT3 calipers- they have larger pistons than 996TT/BR/GTS/S4 and I BELIEVE they also have bigger pads than all of the others too. I ASSUME they are mono-bloc(?). I wouldn't mind the 996TT set-up w/a nice two-piece to bring the weight down a little and have the mono-bloc type, but it's just not worth the extra money for a street car IMO...

WRT pad price, keep in mind that the Wilwood pad is a whole lot thinner than the stock S4 or BR pad. They're about half the price of stock (at Vertex), but perhaps roughly the same total cost per mile.
(I just bought both 951S and Wilwood Dynalite pads for the toy cars :-)

Hi everybody
Do not purchase WILWOOD disc the casting is terrible and the whole set-up with the hats will cost more than BR or even TT rotors...
The BREMBO calipers are ones of the best available and are bolt-on (BREMBO=PORSCHE)
It is better to tune a car with factory parts , the resale value is going up...
Wilwoob brake pads cost the same if you purchase same quality.
I have installed SUPERLITE on my 66 mustang and believe me the BREMBO look and works much better.
