Default Lights staying on with turn signal on

Today I was puling into a parking place at a store so I flipped on my turn signal.
Then I guess when I pulled in the signal didn't cancel but I didn't notice. So I went
inside for about 20 minutes and when I came out my lights were on, it really
freaked me out because I was afraid my battery was dead good thing its a new one.

Just warning everyone to not forget to turn off your turn signal!!!

the blinker light staying solid is a feature for euro cars that are pulled off the road in fog, tells other drivers that they are on the side of the road and arent moving.

Maybe

I read that the feature is for overnight parking on narrow European city streets; you can leave the street-side parking lights on without draining the battery overnight

If it were just for fog parking, the driver would use the super-bright rear fog lamp that euro cars have and charging from the engine would prevent the battery from dying

yeah, you answer is more betterer but.... give him credit for at least getting the target this time.

it isnt for fog, it is because there are no lights on many streets.
