Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the original "spirit" of this "bad luck fund" as Danger had suggested, was for someone who was really down on their luck and basically doesn't have two nickels to rub together, which should cover alot of people on this board. Let's face it..we all have "older" (not necessarily inferior) Porsches, because many are going to school, or have other family obligations, that won't allow us to purchase a new 911 series, each year..not that I would want one anyway If we were all cruisin' around in 993/996, this thread would probably be about raising money for Jerry's kids, or something.
As I suggested, it should be for "essential" parts necessary to keep a fellow lister on the road ie; fuel pump, blown tire, sensor-type stuff that would disable the vehicle, etc. Parts could be purchased at cost from a list sponser in exchange for some "humanitarian" publicity on the list???? As for a 2K stereo being ripped off, I think that's more of an insurance matter, and you should just consider yourself fortunate to be able to afford that mod. <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

1: If you are suspected of lying about anything with regard to the pot, you're outta the pot for 3 months or more, to be decided by a majority vote.
2: In order to receieve money from the pot, you gotta give money to the pot..duh..
3: The winner of the pot is determined by majority rule, period.
4: If someone wins the pot, they must receive at least 2/3 of the votes to win again within 2 months.
5: The voting will take place over a one week period of time. All votes are final. The vote take place in the first week of each month.
If the above rules are OK...then email me with your real name and I will put together a list.

I know lots of us have been on rennlist for months or even years. What happens if a newbie wants in? We dont have any real way of trusting him, do we? I say there should be a minimum rennlist "age" for the "potters" (3 months?). Also, there should be a minimum amount of time a person is joined to the pot before he/she is eligible for the fund (what if a guy contributing for 6 months lost the pot to a guy who has been contributing for a month?). Or better yet, make a fixed application date and have a fixed number of "potters" who will end up contributing the same sum by the end of the run.

in this case, what we could do is slipt up the money to a extreme....
if two people are having problems, person A is only going to need 40 bucks and person B may need 200 bucks, and there is 300 in the pot, then you could do it that way...helps everyone out...
plus there probably (knock on wood) wont be a winner each month....so the money would roll over...

i already said that i dont think people should be allowed to join without having a rennlist membership for a few months.....
also, 924 is fine
also, anyone may enter at any new month entry period.. its fine, and no fixed amount of potters because then it gets back to the whole - everyone gets the same amount of money they put in - thing. just let it go to luck and voting, thats the point.
this is getting complicated, i think i should just start a new thread for the month of april, whoever wants in says so, whoevever wants a try at it post your story, in a week we vote, then we pay out, whoever doesnt pay cant be in the thing. simple. easy. sound good? look for the post.. and please tell me if you see a problem with my method
