Question Does anybody paint their Weltmeister sways

I saw one thread from six years ago about a guy complaining that they get corroded. I will be driving mine mainly on the street and don't want them to get all rusty and crappy.

Is it ok to leave them alone or should I paint them or coat them in something to protect them?

I had mine on for about 2 years and they're off right now pending the engine rebuild and from what I've seen they just have a layer of dust on them no rust at all.

I have no idea how old mine are, but there is no rust. The plating becomes faded/tarnished like the rest of the plated engine and other pieces on the car, but they don't rust at all.

I have seen rusted ones and painted ones. You can paint it black to make it blend into the bottom of the car for a stealth install. I think the rust issue is seen more on the east coast.

Thanks, I was really happy with how they turned out. I only have an pic of the fronts installed. It's tough to tell from the pics, but I ended up powder coating some of the bracket pieces as well.

did you have any issues with the bushings being to tight with the extra width of the PC?

Also when i took my front out i found that the bracket had actually been torqued a bit from use, amazing considering they're like 3/5 of a inch thick.

I didn't have any clearance issues. Also that was using brand new bushings from Performance Products.
