Default Torsion Bar Indexing - Reference Point

Hello All,
I’m wondering if someone may be able to help me.
I am currently in the process of building up the rear torsion beam from a pile of parts. I have 25.5 T-Bars with aluminium trailing arms. Both the Porsche workshop manual and Haynes list angular values for the spring strut angle setting position i.e.

944 T M030 = 18º

968 Coupe = 18º
968 CS = 14º
968 CS M030 = 9º

My question is, does anybody know the reference feature on the T-Bar assembly from which these angles are taken????
I should really have marked things up better before taking it all apart. However, lots of plating and powder coating later I am now looking for some sort reference to start from.

Thanks in advance,

Jonny

i referenced mine from the curved torque supports that hang above the rear axels. Not sure if someone could measure from there for you. One spline moves the rear end quite a bit.

I have the beam on the bench, so it should be fairly straight forward to set it up.
Thanks for your help.

What kind of car is this for, 951 or 944, M030 or stock, etc?

If you are looking for a stock setup on a 951, I can help you, or even if you are going M030 torsion bars there.

Cheers,

Keith
