Default A little Indy GTG (pics)

Finally a VERY nice day (65+) to take the car so i got together with samgrant951, 87944turbo and David(dont know his screen name) today. Great 50 mile drive, first time i have had the car out for a 50+ drive since winter, it drove perfect! Its a relief when the car has been sitting for a while, you take it out and everything is like it should be. Had a fun drive home, a little simulator action going on

Cars looked great, David got some really nice wheels and Sam's car is unreal like usual.
I though I had mental issues when it comes to attention to detail on my car, then i saw Sam's towhook, the freaking thing is powdercoated to match the intake and wheels!! U gotz issues bro, big big issues

Heres a few pics.

LOL, busted...once I start powdercoating things I cant stop

Gorgeous day! Was glad to get her out finally-

Antonio, the new wheels look amazing...the rear lip is sweet! No pics of your car?? Ive said it a million times but nothing beats a clean black 951!

David - new wheels look GREAT and the paint is looking real good as you can tell from the pics.

Ben, we will have to hook up once yours is running and take them out for a comparo run.

Till next time -

Yeah, thought about that once we were there man

This was less of a GTG and more of a part swapping exchange...just an excuse to get the cars out ya know.

Taken that turbo out this year Jerad?

I had the 951 out once back in late Feb. It was nice getting her out, but I've been thinking a lot about a lightweight 944 with a 968 engine. I haven't decided if I want to use the 85.5 as the starting point or whether I want to find a nice early car to start with. I'm hoping I can start on it by late summer.

Cars look amazing guys. I had my 951 out all weekend. Drove it to work today also and I have the roof out. Got to love hearing the motor and the exhaust.

I'd like to see a closer look of the black car and the round driving lights please. They have peaked an interest.

Looking good, fellas. Mine hasn't come out of hibernation yet. Maybe next weekend. Is Ben's car undergoing some more upgrades?

Bens car went back under the knife, he uncovered one or two air leaks and is taking care of them now, think he is just waiting on a crossover to arrive before he starts in again.

Is the X5 back and running?

Here are some more pics:

Nice pics, Sam.

The X5 is back on the road, hopefully trouble free for a long time. I just put on a set of 19s for the summer to keep the bimmergods pleased.
