who did the body work/paint?
how did you get the dent out of the quarter panel?
what kind of paint?/paint gun?
what kind of filler and materials did you use?

Race Car
used a mig and nails to pull it
Used to use a spitzenagle when i had access.
used ecthing spray primer for bare areas
used omni (cheap) clearcoat with a PPG base as it covers better
used ppg dp sealer and dt reducers
used evercoat polyester filler (thin stuff)
used a sharpe HVLP gun
Surprisingly the omni has held up very well. I usually would use PPG 2042 clear and hardner but I went el cheapo on this one
filled the holes in bumper ends with a solder gun and some junk undercarriage plastic from another car

I spent some of the winter doing cheap cosmetic upgrades to my car (also white) - each was easy and inexpensive. 1. New emblems - front badge and rear "944", total around $50. Huge difference, especially the badge. 2. Buffed the worst parts of the paint - if your car is like mine, it really is white underneath the years of neglect. Did all of mine by hand (painfully slow, but effective). One pass with Turtle wax rubbing compound, then another with 3M cleaner wax. Took all of the yellowed junk off. Tip - buff the paint surrounding those badges and emblems while they're off the car awaiting replacement. 3. Removed the damaged stone guards, as mentioned elsewhere. 4. "Repaired" my chipped front valence with white 3M electrical tape. Yes, it sounds awful, but looks way better than peeling paint - nearly invisible from 10 feet.

use fiberglass bondo, sem texture coat, sem flat black to fix the dash
use automotive carpet to cover the headliner and back seats
search for the cheap diy paint job thread on here where you paint a car with thinned rustoleum and a roller (not recommended unless your car is in BAD shape)
get new 18" wheels with a clean paint job
fix all the little interior stuff like the shift boot, steering wheel, seats, cassette player (replace with the cup holder you can get online)
if your paint is fading use some rubbing compound and an orbital buffer, this will make an old red 944 look really shiny and new
take of the rubber nubbies on the bumpers
compact your front na bumper
put on 968 door handles and mirrors
put on little ricer mirrors
shave your door handles
lower the rear end of your car so it's at the same height as the front of the car
put a euro rear bumper on the car
put on a 944 turbo front bumper
clean the car (engine, carpet, glass, paint, wheels, etc.)

The outside of my car looks good. Its the inside that needs help. Anybody got a good way to refurbish the door pannels? Mine are tan and look very dingy and bleached out. They are good otherwise. I was thinking some ulpholstery paint might do the trick. I temperarily fixed the seats with Iggee seat covers for $180. They fit tight and look pretty good. Hope to buy leather seat kit next year and a carpet set. Right now I just want to get it back on the road. Doing all the mechanical fixes 1st. Then drive all summer and save up for the cosmetics next year.

You can try upholstery paint. The door panels come off pretty easily. Make sure you follow the prep exactly and use quality products. Judging by the photos, your panels might clean up okay. Try Simple Green with a terry cloth rag. The worst case scenario is you have to prep it for paint. Good luck.
By the way, what color did you paint your car? Is it off-white?

my blue car is somewhat in state of disrepair. The exterior looks alright for a cheaply purchased car, but the interior needs a lot of work. I plan on fixing it up before debating whether to keep or sell it. These pictures are what it looked like upon purchase. I haven't done much except immediately change the wheels and steering wheel, but I'll have more nice pics once I get further with the project.

Here is what my 924 looked like when I picked it up for $250. Now it looks much better.... in pieces!
