Default Oil Light

My engine oil light has been coming on recently when I park on even the slightest slope. The oil gauge and dipstick both agree that I have enough oil and the oil was changed less than 2k ago. Is the sensor so sensitive that a tiny slope makes it angry, or is it just my poor lil car? The dummy light only goes on for oil level, not dirty oil, correct? What could be causing this? Thanks in advance

mine comes on at about 3/4 in between the marks.
Yes thats enough oil, but not for the light. You want to keep it topped off

Mine comes on at 1/2 way between and earlier when parked on a slope.

Slope parking is usually the first indication I'm getting close to needing to add a little.

Default Opposite Problem

My oil level sensor won't come on ever. I have checked the bulb and instrument cluster wiring. Looks good. What can I check next?

does it illuminate on the prestart like all the other dash warning lights?

check the resistance of the sender. with the oil stone cold, start the motor and then shut it off after 10 seconds. take another reading. if the ohm reading doesn't change, you might have a bad sender or the float may be hung on the windage tray. the plastic in the pan can fatigue.

Good idea. Will try thay.

No sadly the light doesn't even come on with the ignition pre start. Bulb and dash connection look fine.
