In Missouri I see T-Buckets running around all the time. For those that dont know what a T-Bucket is, its an old Model T Ford (or a kit) that has its fenders taken off and a giant engine. The wheels are out in the open just like what he has on the 944.

I think they changed the law here in PA a few years ago, if it has an antique, hotrod or whatever tag then it can have open wheels. I could be wrong

In a lot of states there are not on-going inspections for collector or hobby vehicles. So once you pass inspection you can pretty much do whatever you want to the car. Friend of mine put manual wiper on his replica cobra to pass inspection, then took them off.
Same for fenders, a lot of kit hot rods they show up for the inspection with bolt on temp fenders.

YMMV, check local laws.

How to shave 2 seconds off your 1/4 mile time for free:

I was thinking of the same thing too (poor sentra). That article was funny as hell!

We cut a Polski Fiat (500CC 2 cyl, air cooled) up like that during one of my vacations 15 years ago, but we kept the roof so the body didn't fold like a pretzel.

In CA you don't have to have fenders provided your car weighs under 1500lbs.

naw. wear and tear was starting to become prevalent. the body was nasty looking. developing rust and stuff. some body panels had been repainted and were cracked all to hell. And the interior was starting to show some wear.

besides. I have so many 944 parts its not a problem at all to build another beauty!

I dont think I clearly illustrated my my feelings on this topic before, so I grabbed another image to display it's stupidity.
