911 turbo with what looks to be a 944 turbo front bumper cover. No affiliation etc.

Default 944 front on 911 ??

It was a very expensive option back then. I think it's a great look. Better than the "bug eyes".

Looks like 968 fenders and headlights, rather than the "slant nose" package. Interesting.

That's what I was thinking.

The slant noses had pop up lights, with vents in the fenders just past the lights.

They also still had the standard bumper.

Picture stolen form 930s.com.

There was a 911 like that at a used car lot around here a while ago... It looked very nice. It's a flatnose, not the same as a slantnose.

Are you sure or are you just guessing? I search flatnose and find nothing with a 944 front end and 968 style lights like that. As far as I can tell, flat nose and slant nose are same thing.

hehe I love it, a 911 with 9fo-fo body parts! What does this do to the zealots who think a 911 is the only car worthy to be called a Porsche? lol

Honestly though that bumper does look much better on a 944.

Yeah I've got nothing to back me up, but this is the second 911 I've seen like that that is referred to as "flatnose."

There was a true Slantnose/Flatnose 911 available through Posche. Option code M534/535. They looked like the one 88bluetsiquest posted just above. in '94 they made another flatnose as early85944 said as well. That one had the stock 964 turbo front bumper and 928/968 front lights and the other flatnose's had the turbo nose with the traditional headlights They where never offered with the 951/S2 front nose. I have to say that car doesn't look good lke that at all

If those are 968 fenders, they are heavily modified. The 968 fenders have a rounded inner front corner, and the hood line is slanted inward nearer the front. It does resemble the 964 slantnose but the front bumper is not 964 slantnose. My vote is for custom project!

Slant nose is like the pic 88BlueTSiQuest posted, and that's what I was thinking of. Flat nose is different, see some of the pics at the link early85944 posted www.flachbau.com

Actually, if you do some searching, it's a tomato - tom-ah-to thing. I believe that the slants were marketed in europe as the Flachbau (flat nose), but somehow the US translated it into slant nose.

The Slant Nose or Flat Nose or Slope Nose was available by special order by Porsche from 1981 and became an official option in 1987 for US cars.
Once again, taken from 930s.com.
