Nice setup it looks really really clean. Does it sound good?

Not to be negative nancy here, and this isnt an attack on you or anybody, but I personally dont like adding subs to a 944. The lack of room and just having them show in the hatch, or having to butcher the rear seats to get them in.

Thieves are dip****s and won't know or care that they're home audio eights. Given the chance they will smash your hatch and try to steal the box, and then you're out a hatch too. The only way to avoid that is by hiding the speakers, or hiding your car.

why would you use two crappy home audio 8's, when you could probably get one quality 8 or 10 car sub and have it sound better?

I had a subwoofer and amplifier placed in my spare tire area by Tweeter/Sound Advice, completely hidden and it sounds fantastic. During the project I replaced/upgraded all of the other speakers as well as the head unit and it's got the optional remote.

Who said they were crappy? I believe he is using Madisound or Seas drivers, which are two of the major suppliers to the hifi world....

Looks good though, kind of hard to tell from the crappy pics. Do you have any better images of your baffle and its finish?

When the PO had my car, someone broke the hatch and stole an $80 set of walmart golf clubs and bag.

The cost of the hatch replacement (I think he got a new Porsche part, this was back in the 90s sometime) was $2000.

I still find pieces of that old hatch in the car.

Here's another tip.

No amount of tint is going to hide your thump if you don't enter the hood quietly, yo!

YUP!

I don't like having other peoples music forced on me, and I don't force mine on them.
