Default OT Question: Bedliner filling with water

The bedliner in my pickup fills with water when it rains. I've never had that problem before, so I really don't know what to do. Should I just drill some holes in the thing? That's the only thing I can think of.

maybe pressure wash it? Maybe you have mud clogging up pre-existing drain holes?

The bedliner is a plastic thing. It looks like it came from the factory with it. I checked and I can't find any drain holes in it.

It's under the GENERAL category.....be prepared to be asked if your bedliner is a Democrat or a Republican!

You can drill holes in the plastic, there are no drain holes in the plastic bedliners that we install at the dealership where I work, I would guess your is the same.

Just be careful not to drill into the paint as it can cause rust and it would not be covered under you warrenty.

Seriously? This is a topic here?

I'm not on the "ban all non-technical talk" bandwagon that seems to be going around here, but this is just ridiculously off topic. What would posses you to post this here?

By the looks of it, he just didnt know there was an OT forum. He was posting it here perhaps because there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site, and perhaps not on other sites.

I say we let it slide and just ask this to be moved to OT

I think he meant his 944's brake light lenses are filling up with water, in which case the answer is drill little tiny holes in them without putting a hole in your paint. (:

check to see where your truck has its drain holes and drill holes in the bedliner at that location... personally I would get rid of the plastic bed liner because there garbage... spary on is the only way to go

I posted this here because I couldn't get onto the Dodge forum I usually go too to ask questions about the truck. And I have seen other people post non-Porsche 944 automotive questions here before. I wasn't aware there was another place one Rennlist that I could have posted it, nor was I aware it was such a big deal.

But thanks for the help from the other guys on here.
