IMHO get a proper brand name, like Hypercoil.

I have a set of QA1 rear coilovers.... One shock is dead and the springs are rusty and the paint peeling off badly after 3 or 4k miles. Crap.

Running the springs on koni shocks. They work fine and just as good as the hypercoils I had on prior. No issues with paint, but I live in a mild climate where snow and salt are not an issue.

Not sure about QA1 springs, but I'm runing Hypercoils with QA1 rear coilovers like Mike and Hypercoils with Koni yellows in the front and they've worked out well. I would strongly recommend Hypercoils but I can't compare them personally to the QA1's.

Where I am going with this question is that I can get a good deal on a set of QA1 for my front strut conversion. I was planning on going with the HYpercoils but be the cheap bastard that I am, I decided why not go with the QA1's?
I mean spring rate is spring rate right???

Correct. Buy them and spend the money you saved on crack and hookers!
