#1 do a search on timing belts. hope you are sitting.

#2 15W 40, dont go thinner than 40. any brand you are OK with. I use mobil 1. better filter brands.

#3 &4 if you need shocks you are in for a $$ surprise. look up the post i started/bumped. a fellow on this board has the struts out of my 89 S2 with 69k miles. you can get all 4 shocks/struts/&front springs ready to install for less than 150. then you can sell your old fronts to paragon for the same 150.

otherwise your choice is koni inserts, and the parts cost about 600.

how would you go about doing this? is this the full front strut ( housing, insert, spring etc?)

Im gonna have a pair laying around soon, and 150$ sounds better than taking up space in the garage
