Default Ideas for what's wrong with car?

The car drives and cruises fine. However, at wide open more than 4000rpm, a buttload of oil fumes comes into the cabin. I have replaced headgasket, new valves, new valve seals, new timing belt, new OPRV.

any ideas what could be the problem?

What model 944 do you have? It could be anywhere from a nasty exhaust leak to a boost leak (if you have the 951).

it's a 83 NA. pretty sure it's not an exhaust leak...cause i don't hear it. if it is an exhaust leak, it's not at the head->exhaust manifold. the exh mani -> cat -> muffler is all checked.

It still possibly could be- or potentially bad gaskets? Who knows... on my 95 Mitsubishi GS-T I had a horrible leak that I couldn't find. I had even taken the exhaust off to give it a thorough check. All seemed fine, but I replaced the whole system anyway. The exhaust smell went away. There was definitely a small leak somewhere throughout that was not noticeable.

yea but this isn't a fuel fume or exhaust fume. i'm talking like blue smokescreen coming thru the hvac vents and also underneath the dash somewhere.

Also leaves a nice smokescreen that is definatly burned oil behind the car, and comes in therough everywhere (hvac vents, shift boot, etc).

Its not just a little oil on the manifolds burning off, its like oil is being injected into the intake instead of fuel lol

Would a stuck open PCV valve cause this? Sucking in all the excess crankcase fumes and burning it all up at WOT?

How about the cam cover gasket? Only "oil fumes" that ever came into my 83 was when that sprung a leak right over exhaust header #1. Car was 14 years old and had 136.882 miles when that happened.

Then you may be looking at an oil pan gasket.

don't need a dyno , take it to any shop , give a guy a 20 to put it on the hoist on his lunch hour and gun it , he will spot it immediately i bet.
