Default why does my 88 seem faster than earlier cars?

I've had an 84, 85.5 and now 88- and the 88 feels well, not fast, how about "less slow?" Was there any change? Maybe in compression or gearing? I may have the anniversary edition or whatever with "silver" carpet and "silver plaid" interior. I noticed it from the first time I drove it. Anyone?

89s are 2.7. 88s are 2.5 10.2 to1 compression low 5th gear cars so they should feel faster.

Like Lego said, and you do have a Celebration Edition car. They only came in 2 colors. Zemmitt silver, and satin black metallic. Both had the silver carpet, plaid door panels. Most had plaid seats, with black trim, but a very few had a tweed for the seats.

Tod, I think you mean Zermatt Silver. I love that color! Can someone please post a pic of this special silver carpet and plaid door panels?

My seats were, but they were fairly disgusting by the time I took ownership so I had them covered in black.

The color on the outside is good (should look nice with a fresh coat in the next week or so), but the interior isn't in the best shape so I'm switching out for black door panels (thanks to 75ohm) and black carpet when I can find it. I am glad the entire dash and center console are black.

Thanks for the info guys.

I'll hijack my own thread here:

Jason, are those your scissors that came in the box? Do you want them back, if so?
