Default Carpet Binding Tape

So the binding tape along the edges of the carpet that keeps the carpet tucked into the weatherstripping is disintergrating in spots, particularly in the trunk of my cab. Anyone familiar with this problem? I've found binding tape online, but I can't tell what would be the proper material/strength/thickness. I guess I should go to a carpeting place or go to the garment district in Manhattan with a sample to find a replacement. I have linen carpet. I can't remember if the binding tape is black or also linen.

Anyone had to do something like this?

Thanks!

Lowes carries indoor/outdoor carpet tape that should work for your purpose(I have never used it before). The stuff that is heat activated is very strong but can't be used in the automotive environment. Carpet tape is very thin and will not create any lumps/bumps.
