Default Tach doesn't work after rebuild

Hey guys, finishing up the motor rebuild. Last night I put in new s/r sensors and it fired right up. Yay! No weird noises, and no leaks (so far).

However, the tach isn't working. All the other dash guages, etc are ok. Where to start looking? Did I forget to connect a wire somewhere?

-- just in case its not clear in my sig, this is an 89 NA --

IIRC one the the sensors is used for the tach, the other one is used for the firing and whatnot, but i could be wrong. I would start looking there though and double check

If you did remove engine with wires attached I think there is black plung above DME at the passenger side of the car that is left disconnected.
The plug has one row of pins and plug is protected with soft material around it (don't know english word for it). If your car has ABS then it is above that unit.

Thanks, I found somewhere else that there's a 4 pin connector for the tach up behind the glovebox. That may be what you're talking about. I'll take a look after work today.
