Default early 944 manual rack tie rods - 00 vs. 01 the same ??

I've been trying to get replacement tie rods for an early chassis 83 944.
It's a manual rack, and everyplace (even Porsche) seems to be backordered on the "00" part number. 944-347-033-00

Is the part 944-347-033-01 the same ??

Does anyone have any ???

Thanks
Don

944 347 033 01 Is the part listed in both my supplier cat's here at the shop. Same for L and R sides. My cost is around 100.00 per side.

It's a TRW part, not Lemforder. Only have (1) Lemforder avail

from the 944 manual, it seems that the newer part can be used as long as they are replaced in pairs.
So, I'm assuming that I should be OK

The newer tie rods are significantly longer to accommodate the late offset- I just switched my rack out for a manual and had to swap in the late tie rods, they are not even close in length. You may need to change other components to run the late offset tie rods.

he has an early offset car so the part numbers mentioned above will be fine. Alex you are correct if it were a later offset car, of course you already knew that, LOL.

But it looks like he wants to use the late part, which I don't think will work. The one on the bottom is the one that goes on my car (you can even see the difference in length in the pic). The rack I got had the tie rods like the one on the top, so I had to switch them out.
