Default Plug for CO Inspection Port

I would like to remove the 3 foot long metal line that comes up from the crossover and replace it with a plug that installs directly onto the crossover.

Does anybody have a source for this?

A bunch of people have used a closed-ended lug nut. They have the same threads.

M14x1.5

As mentioned, you can use a lug nut if you need.

I found these also a few weeks ago that should work..

You would need part # 9232-14 . Both links list the same part and brand (made by Komatsu). I emailed the supplier about them and they are made out of forged steel, so i think they should hold up to exhaust temperatures fine.

I was going to buy a few of these as i am pretty sure i can drill a hole in the head, and using a brass ferrule make it into an EGT probe holder, similar to what Laust used to sell.

Sorry don't know the size, I just went to the plumbing section and found a fitting that screwed on to my broken test pipe, then bought the corresponding plug in the same size. I don't even think it was a metric size, just some standard inch size that happened to fit well enough. You may find something at Home Depot.
