Default Can't insert the key into the ignition!

Hi everyone!

Today I was cleaning the garage.
I had to move my Porsche and didnt want to start it, so I just removed the E-brake and put the gear in neutral and pushed it backwards a couple of feet with no key in the ignition.

When I later was to fire up the engine, I couldnt get my key into the ignition! Not a single millimetre.
FYI: The steering wheel lock was engaged.
I've tried to jerk the steering wheels, turned on/off the central-locking/alarm, moved the car back and forth but I just can't get the key into the ignition!

Please help me out!
What should I do to solve this?

Cheers
Stephan

Thats weird. I know that at the entrance to the lock there is a peice of metal that gets moved out of the way and tells the car to beep at you if you left your keys in it. I wonder If it got jammed somehow. Maybe give it a light jiggle with a small screwdriver?

is there a possibility someone shoved something into it when you weren't looking?

Hmmm ... sounds like a reasonable cause that metal piece cover the key slot is jamming.

How does it look like?
And how does it move when it "gives away"?
Good to know for comparison.

I never thought of this little piece until now.
Thanks.

Cheers

I fixed it ...
Using some WD40 and force to get those metal slips apart I could enter the key!

Thanks for all advice.

Nothing quite like water displacement, 40th batch, to the rescue.
