Well, the 83" 944 is belong to my older 17 year old brother, he just upgraded to a 89" Honda accord 4 door lx with a h22 Vtec engine from a prelude, that car is soo fast. My dad said that I'll get the 83 next month when I turn 16. I don't mind driving the 944 but is so slow that's why I would like to add a turbo until I can get my dream car a Civic SI.
I really don't want to bash on you. Really don't, but your priorities are bass-ackwards. You should consider getting the 944 running and sell it to someone who actually wants it if you don't care about it. If you really want a Civic Si that bad then get one. Don't turbocharge a car you care nothing about so you can sell it later for an econobox.
P.S. I'm not sure why you would want a Civic if you could have your hands on a 944. A 944 is going to trounce a Civic on a track and will certainly get more respect than "another civic". The moment you get that Civic, you will wish you kept the 944.

lol...bill i'd suggest you read a little about this car on this site, especially the fact that these cars were NEVER intended to win any straight line races, they were born in Germany, and they were destined to be driven on wild twisty roads at speeds that most other cars can't even DREAM of holding around corners and such. Then you should also realize that when you get your civic dream car, you will still just have a HONDA, and it will never be anything else...in addition don't try to compare a car that's relatively new with a SWAPPED engine to a car with a stock engine from 25 YEARS ago...i'd like to see your friends civics stand up against one of these cars with a chevy ls1 powerplant in it...

ok, take a firebird and drop 1000 pounds or more and then race it...and take it to the track, none of that street racing crap...in addition you missed the whole point of my post. THIS CAR IS NOT FOR DRIVING IN STRAIGHT LINES!!! IT DOESN'T LIKE IT!!! IT WAS BUILT TO GO REALLY FAST AROUND SHARP CORNERS!!! NOT RACE RICE!

Simply put... If you beat a Corvette with a Civic, you're still driving a Civic and the other guy is still driving the Corvette. Never had a chick tell me, "Oh, my god. That Civic totally turns me on."
