I'm glad you decided to come anyway
Chuck,
I gotta blow you off for tomorrow. I just found out that my wife and daughter will not be home, so i can finish laying the deck for the hot tub.
you know the hot tub that took my DE budget, that hot tub. the hot tub i will probably never use and have no desire to have, but heard her ask about a hundred times.
i will stay happily married even if it kills me!!

Disaster!!!
By now the guys on my car meet list received a wayward email from the marketing email system I used to use to keep in touch with my current and prospective clients. I'm a financial advisor and the idiots that I used to send emails to my clients screwed up and sent marketing emails to all my Porsche buddies. What a major screw up on their part!!! Of course, I've fired them and now I'm licking my wounds because the multitudes think I only did this whole car meet thing to get people's email addresses so I could spam them. Yikes!!
I'm laying low for a while and have turned it over to another really great guy, Erik Behrendsen, and of course the Master of the (Porsche) Universe, Grady Clay, to pick up the pieces. I'll be laying low for a few months so all the guys who got the wayward email will forget my name and not confront me at some future event about spamming them and Erik and Grady can restore this really cool idea.
Even though I'm VERY sorry this happened I'm really not to blame and I hope I'll be forgiven in a few months or years and I can return to the fold.

I got the email, and based on the vibe i got when i met you i figured it was a screw up and didnt think twice. I dont think you have to lay low, just keep doing what you are doing, and in the next porsche specific email throw in a line that is was an error.
last i checked you are human.
last i checked you are human.

Thanks for the kind words.
I hope to come out of exile soon but I'm sure it will be a great time with or without me.

After it's explained people seem OK with it
... the problem is that there are many on the big list I was working off of who aren't on Rennlist or Pelican that just got mad and complained to PCA-RMR, etc. It was a mistake by the vendor, no doubt, but some people aren't very forgiving.
