Default $130 worth of zinc plating with picture

Just got these parts back last night from the zinc guy. $130 worth of work - probably a little high because I took all the little parts from a power steering rack and he had to wire those up. You can have the little stuff drum plated but the quality isn't quite as good. Usually isn't noticable visually after installation though and that is what I need to do next time to save some bucks. I've been trying to get a good deal on a Crest ultrasonic cleaner on ebay - figure I can get a lot of the grime off my bolt collection before taking it to a drum plater.

Note - no I did not take the underhood light assemblies to him with the mercury still inside

I love the way freshly zinc'd stuff looks. Having a gold car, this is on my to-do list if I ever have the motor out and do some heavy detailing. Very nice!

Well - the two that came out nicely went onto those konis in the picture that I have for sale on the bird site. The third really needs to be re-zinced and I thought I had another one floating around to make a pair but I can't find it My idea was to have an extra pair done - install them on my car and then have the ones on my car redone and then sell them. Just gotta keep on looking for that missing one.

No - I could be wrong but it looks to me like they are not designed to be easily replaced if at all.

Looks great!

I've never heard of anyone changing a strut bearing, they all just replace the whole mount.

The problem is for the later 944 that part is almost $400 a side. For that money you can buy a camber plates......

Any chance you'd sell one of those hood light pieces? That was the one thing I forgot to get plated when I did all my stuff and it annoys the hell out of me (I don't want to have to pay a $60 batch fee to get the one piece done).

Cheers
