why the k27/8? well initially i wanted a Vitesse unit and someday it could happen. I was looking at the k27/8 because its a watercooled "stock style" unit that will bolt right on w/ little to no mods. Quick spoolup really wasnt important as its for track excelleration more than anything and i thought it would be reliable at moderate boost for long sessions. I was on ebay looking for some turbos just messing around and saw that Naplesguy944 was selling his turbo that he had just purchased along w/ alot of other cool stuff. I tried to buy his MAF setup but got outbid, so to make up for my disappointment i ended up buying the new turbo for a large discount from what he had paid for it. Then you know well now i needed an inlet pipe and that requires a MAF setup and that means injectors and now i need couplers and on and on...its a slippery slope and ive fallen to the bottom.

heres two vids from saturday night when i had just gotten her together about 1am ...you can tell im alittle slap happy.

Hey Dan,

I was admiring the progress over on turbo forum... Great work as usual, and FAST! I am always impressed with how quickly you get things done (while not cutting corners as well).

by hand- as always- and i did back it off after starting it but i usually run them a tad tight at first and the belt stretches in w/o becoming loose.
