Nice car. I had an old 1984 GT coupe in the U.S. and that thing was better in the snow than my friends Jeep. And it was front-wheel drive!

that should be around 20mpg, which is about right for city driving.

Congratulations. I had an '83 Audi 5000 turbo, back in high school (actually my pop did, but I drove it most of the time), and I loved that car. It was one of the rare few that wasn't plagued with any problems it was known for. It was Helios Blue and it had Audi's version of a Pasha interior, and it was quick, with just a bit of turbo lag. Man I miss that car. You can't find anything about it on the web; it's as if it never existed.

I think in Europe it was called the Audi 100.

I had a 1991 90Q Sedan for 9 years. The interior was fantastic and way ahead of its time. In that car, I learned that quattro is nothing if you're riding on summer tires. A $2,500 lesson.

1 liter = .264 gals so...
6 liters = 1.585 gals
1 km = .621 mi
100 km = 62.14 mi

.... 39.2 mpg. HOLY CRAP!

Nice looking 'beater'. FANTASTIC mileage.

Sweet!!! I think your beater is nicer than my 924S. I had a ford festiva that got 40mpg. I should have kept the pile of crap. I had $350 in it and someone offered $500 so I took it. Bad call

Nice. I had an 1989 Audi 80 for a few years. The only automatic transmission car I will ever own. But it ran like a champ. I bet the euro diesel is a tank.

I recently picked up a 1990 V8 Quattro for a winter car and something that my GF can drive. We drove it back from TN to MI after buying and suprisingly made the trip without problems. I've driven the car twice since but looks like it will be a decent car. It feels much heavier then the AWD BMW's I've had though....this car neeeds a turbo or two.
