Default Anyone have a bad 944 block that you would give away?

I had an idea for an odd piece of furniture, and I need an old 944 block for it. Preferably not one with a hole in the side of it, but one where the bores are shot and it is unusable or just not worth repairing. If you have one you would be willing to donate within driving distance of NYC (regardless of the condition), please let me know. I'd be happy to drive as far as central PA or up into CT or Mass to pick it up, and take you out for a beer or two.

Thanks

I might have what you're looking for. It has a piece broken off the lower balance shaft. Hardly noticable. The rest is in very good condition.

I have another one with a very toasted #4 cylinder.

PM me if you want to explore further.

Check my furniture 2 upsidedown pics because these show the holes better:

And one more right side up:

2nd gear threw some teeth so a rebuild was going to be way too expensive, hence we got a 2nd hand gearbox and I did this Those 2 gaping holes are filled in with shaped plastic panels to keep dust out (and the fine oil film on the parts clean).
More pics of the whole building process can be found here:

I have a ruined 944 block in the works, I'm gonna make a table out of that too when I got my masters degree in a few months. I think I'll make some longitudinals that I'll bolt to the original engine supports, that should looke awesome
