That x brace looks like it ties into a roll cage.

My point was that the strut tower brace works best when additionally attached to the chassis in some way, and not just linking the strut towers together. Evidently, tying into a roll cage would gain the maximum effect.

Ah, thanks. Glass hood makes sense.

Regarding the Racing Dynamics bar; I have no clearance issues, so I guess it shows how different these cars can be.

I was gonna buy one of those strut braces... until I saw the price, Ill just weld one on myself from my scrap metal pile.

I do not think the strut brace in the picture is a racing dynamics brace. As far as I know the RD brace has four mounting points one one side and only two on the other side and the one pictured has 4 for each.

actually, thinking more about it, you can easily match the tensile strength of the Cup bar with an aftermarket bolt on one. Porsche probably welded theirs to the body because look at the design, easy to manufacture. Two simple brakets welded to the body, one bar easily bent with 4 bolt holes. Much easier than all the machining and welding required with all the aftermarket bars.
