Default Simple door lock question

I need to remove the actual lock from the door handle. I removed the screw but is still not budging. I know I'm a homer but I dont want to damage anything.

Thanks,

BO

You need to put the key inside the lock cylinder before removing it, or it will come apart.

The bracket is held on with a spring. Study it closely or take a pic so you remember how it goes back together.
