My gas door label says 29 front 36 rear. Owners manual (1987) says 29 front, 36 rear for 944 and 944S, 36 both front and rear for Turbo.
On my na I use 30, sometimes 32 front, 36 rear.

Porsches (well, these Porsches) are configured from the factory to have understeer because it's much easier for an average, novice driver to correct understeer than oversteer in a panic situation.[/QUOTE]
can some one explain this to me? and how to deal with both when it happens.
I usually run a new vertical through hard braking, sharp turns, hard turns during braking to "see what the car/motor cycle" will do, so far only driven the porsche in light rain and sun, don't thing it will ever see snow except from the inside of the garage.

understeer is also safer to crash than oversteer. crash plowing headfirst into a wall and u got 5feet of frontal crush zones to protect u. crash sideways into wall and u've only got about 3" of door bar to protect driver/passenger.
if you're understeering, it means u were driving way too fast to enter the corner. lift off the throttle gently, unwind the wheel slightly until the front tires regain grip and turn the car.
if you're oversteering, you floored the gas on your S2/951 too suddenly. gently lift off gas to about 50%, gently counter steer to bring your front end back. do not lift off sharply or brake until u want to 180
should have been covered back in driver license classes....back all those years ago when u took it
