Last I checked car thieves don't use much finesse now do they? They smash a window or trash a lock cylinder with a puller. Hell even I can open about anything with a slimjim and I'm honest.

Is it really a good idea to have a tutorial on how to break into our cars up on the internet?
Sounds like some preventative maint is overdue here, graphite and or de-icer perhaps.

i never got it either, if someone wants in they are getting in, like someone who isnt familiar is going to want to take the time fishing in a license light hole, or popping a quarter window when his slimjim and/or hammer will do it much quicker.

^ Just couldn't help yourself, huh.
A stolen car is still a stolen car, I just hope it's yours.
They may not be in the high profit cloumn, but it's still greenbacks in some schmucks pocket.

I don't think it's a big deal either. Like others have said, if they want it they will get it, getting in the car is really probably the easiest part of theft. Most people know our cars are old.. and just about all old cars can be popped open with a slim jim.
The only issue is that if there is something easy like the windows that gets out into common knowledge as car xxx is easy to break into, then it could maybe make a difference, but i doubt that happens with such a niche car.

Face it folks, except for Rolex's car and maybe two others I know of, no one is dumb enough to steal a 944/951. If they are reading this forum they know there are better fish to fry. If he's full-on crackhead stupid he will break a window, rob a 7-11, score some stupidity, but the car will breakdown before he can hit that 8-Ball he just bought. Some how I feel safer just knowing this.

Seriously guys, stop being so sensitive No one's sitting on here plotting to hijack your car because they now know how to break in. If they didn't know how to before they are probably retarded. I was just looking for a way to open my car without damaging it because I fell into an unfortunate situation.
What's next? I can't ask how to pull the tranny? That's right someone might be reading this and come by and snag my tranny! Well have fun with that she wasn't that great a tranny anyways.
