I don't think the cover they sell is the "euro" version. I think it has the side marker lights.

As it turned out, it wasn't really that hard to do. I had everything I bid on (brackets/bumper) within a week of auction end and my total was $271. However, if a group buy of Euro fronts were in the offering..... BTW, Travis has one for sale (front) on Rennenkauf for like 350.

Since I am selling my car I don't really intend to finish all the small projects I had going, so my NOS front euro bumper and user rear euro bumper are available. The rear I am pretty sure only fits a 924 and the front fits a 924 but maybe 944, I don't recall. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

Front is new old stock and has never been painted or anything, still has the Porsche parts sticker attached. I have a set of the driving lights, rubbers and mounts to go with it too. $250.00

Rear is used and painted red. I have mounts and a brand new rubber strip. $150.00

Again, LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. If nobody wants them I'll throw them in when I sell the car as I had planned.

If you decide you will ship that front set-up, I will scrounge up the money from somewhere. If you won't ship, how long is the drive to your part of Ohio from LA .

It would be wicked expensive to ship it in my opinion and I kind of don't want to hassle with it. If one of the Ohio listers wants to help you out in that regard, fine by me.

Here are part numbers for front bumpers. IIRC, without walking down to the basement, mine is the 477.807.133 version:

European Bumpers

924, all years including 924S

With fixed bumper irons:

477.807.133

Add a "B" to the end of the part number and you get option 288 which is headlight washers

With "buffer" or bumper shocks - Option M058:

477.807.109.H

Replace H with C and you have the version for the 931 with headlight washers.
Replace with J and you have version for standard 924 with headlight washers.

All 944 models from 83 on excluding S2 and 951.

Bumper with fixed bumper irons:

931.505.087.00

931.505.087.01 includes option M288 (headlight washers)

Bumper with buffers Option M058:

931.505.109.05

931.505.109.06 includes option M288

Thanks Michael. I am sure someone in your area will grab those goodies by the AM, but just in case, there is a Greyhound bus station in SM (a boy can dream, can't he?)

LOL. Isn't that what 944 cars are all about?

Thanks Rich. I think I'll have to pass. I can't justify spending the money for a spare that is just going to sit in the garage/attic and take up space. I'm trying to stop the "hoarding". Its a sickness that is hard to over come.

Michael sorry to hear that you are selling. How are things?

For reference, the 477 part# rear bumper doesn't fit the 944 cars because the contour on the bottom is for narrow rear fenders and not the wide-body 944 fenders. You can modify them to fit if you are good with fiberglass.

My car has the rear bumper with the 931 part#, and shocks (not fixed hard mounts). Obligatory pic attached.

I'm not. Since I got married I hardly drive the thing. No, that's not accurate. Since our office moved to Beachwood from Richfield it added another 30 minutes to our drive and neither my wife nor I want to put up with the car for that long a drive into work. So now it sits and I rarely drive it and really don't enjoy it as much. Besides, I got back into bicycles again and frankly like working on them way more than cars. It is much more fun for me to work on something that probably won't kill me if it falls on me while I am working on it.

I've also got some rare NOS Bilstein 'Sport' (not HD) inserts and a set of struts with Bilstein HD inserts if anybody is interested.
